First week keeps YHS tennis busy

Yukon’s girls tennis team wasted little time in jumping off the season with two tournaments. In a tournament at Putnam City, Cadence Barnes dropped her first match in No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0. She rallied to beat Abby Boedecker 6-2, 6-2 in the consolation bracket and followed with a 6-3, 7-5 win. She won her final match to place ninth. Ryann Fuentes also placed ninth in No. 2 singles.
