The county gained a week reprieve on a fire ban after the Canadian County Commissioners took no action on an agenda item Monday morning.
Leading into the meeting, rural fire departments had recommended approval of a burn ban while Yukon asked that it expire. Commissioner Jack Stewart said he agreed with Yukon and suggested the issue be revisited during the next weekly meeting.
