St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Mosaics for ages 3-8 will be at 9:30 to 10 a.m., 11 to 11:30 a.m. and 6 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. It is $4 per child or free with a youth or family pass. Join the center in making a fourleaf clover mosaic and learn about the green holiday. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation front desk at 405-376-3411.

ACTIVE ADULTS CENTER

• The Active Adults Center is operating with limited hours and limited activities, which includes cards, puzzles, music and bingo. Hours at the center are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. For more information, contact the center’s front desk at 405-376-1297.

• Join the center for root beer floats at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Senior Supporters’ Bingo Night Fundraiser will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Each third Thursday is the fundraiser. Prizes for regular games are $25 and $50 for blackout. Packets are $9 or $12. The proceeds benefit the Senior Supporters.

• Enjoy a personal size bag of popcorn Fridays.

• Lunch from Aging Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Lunch is Monday-Friday and reservations are required by noon the day before. A $2 donation is suggested. Attendees will have sloppy joes, sweet potato fries, green peas, peaches, a bun and milk.

• Need a ride to the Town Center? Registration is required. It is ADA accessible and $2 a day. Rides are available Monday-Thursday at County Line Road to Frisco Road and SW 89th Street to SW 15th Street. Pickup is from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Drop-off is noon to 12:30 p.m. There are various activities to do while at the Town Center.

LIBRARY

• All indoor library activities will require registration.

• Baby Goose for infants to 1-year-olds will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. For more information, email Casey Taylor at ctaylor@cityofmustang.org.

• Mini Irish Fairy Gardens for sixth- through 12th graders will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Design an Irishthemed fairy garden inside of a mason jar. For more information, email Sheila Barnard at sbarnard@cityofmustang. org.

• Music and Movement for ages 2-6 will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. For more information, email Nichole Valencia at nvalencia@cityofmustang. org.

• Process Art: Bubble Wrap Painting for ages 3-6 will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. Participants should wear clothes that are safe to get messy. Create unique art featuring textures and techniques to paint sign bubble wrap.

• Blackout Bingo for thirdthrough fifth graders will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday. Celebrate United Nations World Poetry Day by creating recycled book pages.

• Enjoy the Mustang Public Library’s audiobooks, eBooks, music and videos on Overdrive. The library has thousands of eBooks that can be borrowed by downloading the Overdrive or Libby app. Call the library at 405-376- 2226 or stop by the library for more information.

PARKS & REC

• Cardio Mix will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday. It is a combination of dance moves and exercises. Attendees must bring their own yoga mat. It is included with a monthly or daily fitness pass.

• Whiz Kids is a drop-in child care open to ages 4-8. The area is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 4 to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday. Scheduled activities are planned throughout the day. A daily or annual youth pass is required to participate. Caregivers who bring their child for the child care must remain inside the recreation center. A looped flower paper craft will be made March 22.

• Kid tennis is available for ages 16 and younger. People can join for two free classes.

• Fitness Class Attendance Competition for March 2022 is happening now. Each time people attend a fitness class, they can enter their name in the jar for a chance to win weekly prizes.

• Birthday parties can be hosted at the recreation center. It is $200 for two hours for up to 15 children. There is a game room, dodgeball, climbing wall, volleyball and basketball. The available times and days are from 6 to 8 p.m. Fridays, noon to 2 p.m. or 3 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays.

• Personal training at the center offers health assessments, workout plans for muscle building, fat loss and general health. It’s $30 for a 50-minute session, and friends can attend for an additional $10.
