Mary Frances (Magerus) Wedman was born on April 10, 1941 to A.G. “Bud” and Lena Bertha (Bruckner) Magerus in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born into eternal life on March 21, 2022.
She graduated from Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School in 1959 and later became a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, where she raised her family with Don Wedman, her husband of 58 years. She worked as an administrative assistant in Oklahoma City, but her greatest achievement is the legacy she leaves through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who grew through her selfless devotion and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kevin Wedman; and her sister and brother in-law, Joan and Phil Wirt. She is survived by her husband; her son, Randall Wedman and fiancée Susan Jenkins; son, Jason Wedman and his wife, Lisa; daughter, Janet Wedman; daughter Kelly Richardson and her husband, Mark; son, Darin Wedman and partner, Blake Lee; brother, John Magerus and spouse, Everett McKinney; grandchildren, Chris Yukon Wedman and wife Shannon; Lauren Wedman and fiancée Ryan Day, Connor Wedman, Griffin Wedman, Cody Richardson and Kaitlyn Richardson; great-grandchildren Brody, Ella, and Baylor Wedman; nieces & nephews from both Wedman and Wirt families; and long-time family friend, Tim Allred. The family extends special gratitude to Charlene Jester, caregiver and friend.
Known by all for her gentle nature and tender heart, she will be missed greatly by her family and friends. Wake services were held Thursday, March 24 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at the church, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
