When football fans arrive at Bronco Stadium Friday for the Cornerstone Clash, they will notice it has undergone a facelift after Mustang Public Schools replaced the Broncos’ scoreboard.

Erected in the back of the endzone, the new video scoreboard stands 22.5-by-30.5 in diameter.

That includes a 10-millimeter highresolution LED board.

Metro Sign Corp., a local company, handled the project, according to Mustang Athletic Director Robert Foreman. The video board was manufactured by Watchfire Signs LLC.

The scoreboard includes a Fire Sound 500 sound system, which will sit on top of the scoreboard instead of in the press box.

The total cost of the project was $401,583. According to Foreman, $50,000 of that was donated to the athletic department. The total cost to the district was $351,583.

The video board and sound system will be used for all sporting events, band competitions, the Western Days Fun Run, pep assemblies and for curriculum purposes.

“It is a tremendous addition to Bronco Stadium and will greatly enhance any and all activities hosted on our campus,” Foreman said.
