Kenny Dean Violette came into this world January 29, 1954, welcomed by parents Kenneth and Arlene Violette, and left Oct. 22, 2021. It’s safe to say he forged his own path and lived a lot of life in between.

He was blessed with three biological children and gained three more when he married Barbara. He had a passion for music and shared his gift of singing while praising and serving the Lord.

He could often be found practicing for a solo, preparing for the choir and church service as the music minister, or just singing because a tune was in his heart.

He sang to his bride on their wedding day and countless times after and loved her and his family to the best of his ability.

He later became a minister, and if you knew anything about Kenny, you knew he loved the Lord. In his words, “I believe in the Trinity of God. That is: God, the creator and giver of life who is the Alpha and Omega, the Son Jesus Christ who came as a sinless man to pay the price for our sin at Calvary, so that by choice, we can know eternal life in heaven with him, and the Holy Spirit, the spirit of God that lives within us, guiding my path, and enriching my life to the fullest.”

Kenny had a way with words so it’s only right to share his own thoughts about his life from his Advance Directives. “Well, it’s been a hoot! I can’t say that I’ve enjoyed all of it, but I have had enough goodness and joy in my life that I don’t know what it was that I might have missed, don’t care! I have lived, loved, and experienced more in my life that I ever could have imagined. I was a servant of Christ and hope to stand in heaven for eternity, singing and praising God.”

Kenny is survived by his wife, Barbara Violette, children Kendell and wife Darla, Melissa Renea, Robert, Melissa McCeney, Kendra House and husband Sean, Rikki Schoonover and husband Alex, as well as 15 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by sister Kathy Bookman and husband Larry and their children, sister Georgia Blackwell and her children, brother Ken and his wife Debbie and their children. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Emma Gold.

A very special thanks to Integris Baptist 601 ICU staff, and Drs. James Green and Cameron Steele, for their kind care, and their assistance in Kenny’s journey to his Heavenly home.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 6th, 2pm, at North Side Christian Church, 2526 NW 122nd, OKC.
