Gerald Dean Higginbottom, of Mustang, Oklahoma went peacefully to meet The Lord, her maker, and join other family members in Heaven on November 30, 2021, at the age of 79, after a long and courageous battle with declining heath.

She entered this world in Yukon, Oklahoma on April 18, 1942, along with her twin brother, Jimmy Dean Calvert, the youngest children of Isaac Calvert and Ethel Greeson.

Gerry spent the majority of her life around Mustang, Oklahoma.

She attended Mustang Schools, and though she did not graduate from high school, she regularly attended her high school class’s monthly breakfast/lunch get togethers.

She really loved to fish, play soccer, dominoes, card games and watch sports on TV. She especially enjoyed watching Skyler Arnold, play high school sports in Boswell, Oklahoma.

One of her favorite responses to any issue that could not be controlled was “it is what it is and that’s all”. She was a tough outspoken lady who could stand up to anybody and not back down.

She loved many types of flowers and anything lavender scented. Her favorite color was purple.

She worked at many types of jobs during her career, but retired from Altec-Lansing after many years as a quality control inspector.

She was deeply loved and will be missed by everyone who came in contact with her. Gerry was preceded in death by father Isaac Calvert, mother Ethel Greeson, husband Bill Chapman, husband Clyde Higginbottom, brothers George Calvert, Kenneth Calvert, Burnes Calvert, Jimmy Dean Calvert, sisters Lucille Aday, Bessie Jean Hooten and son James Lee Chapman.
