High Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI), aka “Bird Flu,” a severe disease in poultry, has now impacted poultry in over 30 U.S. states. Oklahoma officials confirmed that bird flu has infected a commercial poultry operation in Sequoyah County, where the entire flock was euthanized and buried. The facility is being cleaned and disinfected. As well, officials are monitoring backyard poultry producers in that county.
