Yukon cross country teams take talents to Tulsa area

The Yukon cross country teams hit the road last Thursday to compete in the Ram Rendezvous at Mohawk Park in Tulsa.

The Miller boys took third out of 18 teams and the Millerettes finished fourth out of 15 teams. Bentonville (Arkansas) finished as the team champion for both the boys and girls standings.

For the Yukon boys, it was Kolby Mccoy, who took 16th with a time of 17:30.3. Noah Hanscom finished 18th with a time of 17:38.4. Jonah Hanscom placed 21st with a time of 17:47.2.

Seth Cortez took 27th with a time of 18:03.7. Kohl Kimmel finished 28th with a time of 18:09.2. Kyle Crow placed 30th with a time of 18:11.4 and Cade Pope took 36th with a time of 18:20.7.

Bentonville’s Lukas Pabst took first in the individual boys’ competition with a time of 15:58.03.

For the Millerettes, it was Elora Jones, who took 14th place with a time of 21:31.5. Avery Stanley finished 19th with a time of 21:53.2. Asley Baker placed 28th with a time of 22:40.2.

Josie Gray took 40th with a time of 23:21.8. Ashley Brinkley finished 46th with a time of 23:35.7. Avery Turner placed 52nd with a time of 24:05.9 and Avery Cunningham took 56th with a time of 24:22.6.

Bentonville’s Lainey Quandt took first in the individual girls’ competition with a time of 19:09.6.

The Yukon cross country teams competed in the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Meet on Tuesday at Deer Creek.
