Southwest Covenant grabs second in CCS tournament

For the second time this season, the Southwest Covenant volleyball team took second place in a tournament.

The Patriots competed in the Community Christian School tournament on Saturday and went 3-2. Southwest Covenant was 2-1 in pool play with wins against Amber-Pocasset and Noble and a loss against the OKC Storm junior varsity.

The Patriots beat Amber-Pocasset 25-15 and 25-6 and Noble 25-12 and 25-21. They lost to the Storm junior varsity 25-22, 22-25 and 12-15.

Southwest Covenant advanced to the semifinal round out of pool play and beat Community Christian School 25-23 and 27-25.

In the tournament championship match, the Patriots took on the OKC Storm junior varsity for the second time and lost 26-28, 25-19 and 14-16.

Kylie Moseley and Macie Noland were named to the All-Tournament team.

Following the weekend, Southwest Covenant had a record of 8-3 on the season. The Patriots traveled to Amber-Pocasset on Monday for a match.
