Yukon and Mustang will do battle on the gridiron at 7 p.m. Friday at Bronco Stadium in Mustang but before the excitement happens on the field, there will be more excitement before the game.
The Mustang Athletic Department will host the inaugural Bronco Alley on the football practice field just south of Mustang Horizon next to the southwest corner of Bronco Stadium. The event will open at 5 p.m. and run until game time at 7 p.m.
“We want to add to the game day experience,” Mustang Public Schools Athletic Director Robert Foreman said. “The atmosphere for this game is already great, so we are just looking to add something to that. This is not just for our community and our fans, it is for both communities. There will be many great and fun activities for everyone to enjoy Friday before the game.”
There will be 47 total vendors and school clubs and organizations at Bronco Alley. There will be dunk tanks, inflatables, face painting, photos with the Mustang mascot, Mustang logo stickers handed out by the cheer and pom teams, and other family-fun activities.
Here is the list of vendors that will be at Bronco Alley:
-Wild Bills BBQ Truck
-Freddie’s Frozen Custard
-Lalo’s Taco Truck
-Cotton Eyed Joes
-Tinker Federal Credit Union
-Freelance Action Photography
Hank FM will do their pregame show from 6:30-7 p.m. at Bronco Alley. The Mustang High School baseball team will have a cage set up where anyone can come by and see how fast they throw a baseball and then the Mustang Youth Football Association will have a station set up for those who want to come and try to throw a football through a tire.
“We got this idea from Owasso when we went up there to play several years ago,” Foreman said. “We are excited to see how it goes Friday.”
