Yukon FFA Rodeo set for 17th annual run

The 17th annual Yukon FFA Rodeo is set to take place Aug. 4-5 at the Yukon Rodeo Grounds.

Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the rodeo will begin at 8 p.m. each night.

The cost to attend the rodeo is $6 in advance and $8 at the gate.

To purchase tickets in advance, contact any Yukon 4-H and FFA student or contact Sabrina Buller at 219-0084.

Buller has been a part of the Yukon FFA Rodeo for eight years and she said it has grown into an amazing event.

“This rodeo started as a small fundraiser for our 4-H and FFA programs,” Buller said. “We expect around 1,500 people per night with the majority of them coming from Yukon, Mustang, Bethany and El Reno. It has really turned into a special event.”

The rodeo will be a sanctioned event by the International Professional Rodeo Association and Miss Rodeo USA Brittany Howard will attend both nights.

Rodeo Clown Mike “Gooby” Smith will also be in attendance.

There will be entertainment as well, including a snow cone stand, live music with a DJ and the Hank Tank from Hank FM radio.The rodeo events will include bareback, bull riding and calf-roping.

There will also be a calf-scramble and muttin-bustin for the children in attendance.
