Mustang PD promotes two officers

The Mustang Police Department came together last Thursday to celebrate two promotions within the department.
Officers Reggie Smith and Aaron Meadows were both promoted to Corporal after meeting the required qualifications and completing the tests.
“We’re here today to acknowledge both officer Smith and officer Meadows on their successful completion of the promotion process to corporal,” Police Chief Robert Groseclose said as he began the ceremony last Thursday. “Both of these two guys are very special in their own right. We really, really appreciate every day that they’re here. They both have very, very good attitudes. They do a lot to help each other and help everybody around them.”
Smith’s wife Kristen and mother Lori Cooks and Meadows’s wife April and mother Becky helped pin the two men during the ceremony.
“I’m just very proud of both of you guys,” Deputy Chief Mike Wallace said. “They’ve both been with us for three years and they went by pretty fast. I’m just really proud to have both of you guys on our department. I’m glad to see you move up and move forward and I know you’re going to do great.”
Neither of the officers gave speeches during the ceremony, but both cut the cake together before enjoying time with family and guests in celebration of their new rank.
