The Yukon boys soccer team earned their first victory of 2017 on Tuesday evening with a 3-1 victory over Capitol Hill at Miller Stadium. It was Homecoming Night for Yukon soccer, as boys soccer player Irvin Romero and Heidi Aduddell won King and Queen at halftime of the boys match.
Colton Humphrey scored the first goal of the match for the Millers in the first half, which was the only goal scored in the opening half. Yukon added two more goals in the second half by Jensen Smith and Irvin Romero. Capitol snuck a goal into the back of the net in the second half but it wasn’t enough, as the Millers hung on for the two-goal victory.
