Police Chief John Corn confirmed Wednesday morning two-year-old Chevy Lee died after being hit by a truck on the 900 block of Cornwell Drive on Tuesday night.
Emergency calls were received around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday that a toddler was laying in the road on Cornwell Drive. Several 9-1-1 calls stated “it didn’t look good” and that Lee was not moving, but he was breathing.
Emergency crews arrived on scene and transported Lee to the hospital.
The driver of the truck has been cooperating with police and no arrests have been made.
No further information was released Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
Chief Corn said in a statement Wednesday that police are still investigating the collision and examining evidence from the scene and statements from witnesses.
“It may take several days for the investigation to be completed. Upon completion, reports will be available at Yukon Police Department,” the statement reads.
