Bobbie Ruth (Anderson) CurnuttBobbie Ruth (Anderson) Curnutt, age 82, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at an Oklahoma City hospital after a long period of failing health. She was born February 16, 1934 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Curtis and Gladys (James) Anderson.
She grew up in the Talihina area and attended Talihina Schools. She moved to the Oklahoma City metro area in the late 1950s. She returned to Talihina from Mustang in 1993, and moved back to Mustang in 2002.  Bobbie had worked in the nursing field all her adult life, both in hospitals and in home health care. She was a Baptist and very proud of her Native American (Choctaw) heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edgar and three brothers Robert, Lloyd and Floyd.
Survivors include two sons: Bruce Curnutt and wife Francine of Wister, Oklahoma, and Mark Curnutt and wife Cristy of Warr Acres; one daughter Twila Kappele and husband Charles of Earlsboro, Oklahoma; also by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother Ralph Anderson and wife Chavela of Talihina.
Services were Nov. 10 at First Baptist Church, Talihina, with interment following in Old Talihina Cemetery. Arrangements handled jointly by McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang, and Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
