Patsy Jean Hinkle passed into heaven on Oct. 28, 2016 at the age of 74. Patsy was born on July 22, 1942 in Boonville, Arkansas to C.W. and Dollie Hicks. Patsy was the third of five daughters. Shortly after Patsy was born, the family moved to Oklahoma City. Patsy graduated from John Marshall High School in 1960. She married Claude Ray Hinkle in September of 1961 and they made their home in Oklahoma until they moved to California in 1965. In 1978, Patsy and her four children moved back to Oklahoma to start a new life. Patsy loved to sew and was employed as a seamstress at GRA Enterprises for 22 years. Patsy enjoyed reading, shopping, and watching movies but her true happiness in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patsy lived her life with a strong faith in Jesus and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Assembly Church.
Patsy is preceded in death by the parents.
Patsy leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her three daughters: Kelly Corley and husband Steve of Mustang, Margaret Boyd and husband Wick of Yukon, Linda Marrs and husband David of Crescent; son Carl Hinkle of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren: Kenneth, Andrew and his wife Lauren, Courtney, Chance, Tristan, Jacob, Seth, Nathan, Daniel, and Joshua, her sisters, Anna Haun, Sue Kendrick, Jo Manharth, and Helen Hicks as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Patsy was dearly loved and will be incredibly missed by everyone that knew her.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at McNeil’s Funeral Home in Mustang with Rev. Linda Hinkle officiating.
