Millers return home for first time in more than a month
The Yukon football team will enter their game with Edmond Memorial on Thursday with a zero in the win column, but is eager to turn that zero into a one against the Bulldogs.
The game will kick off at 7 p.m. at Miller Stadium and it will be the first home game for the Millers after playing the last four on the road. It will also be the second-straight Thursday game for Yukon, as this week is Fall Break week for Yukon Public Schools.
The Millers, coached by Brian Sauser, comes into the game with an 0-6 mark on the season and an 0-2 record in the district. They are also 0-2 at home this season.
Yukon has lost to Mustang (42-20), Norman North (55-7), Southmoore (38-7), Broken Arrow (33-9), Sand Springs (30-14) and Norman (36-22).
Edmond Memorial comes into the game with a 3-4 overall record and an 0-3 mark in the district. The Bull Dogs are coached by Justin Meredith and they are 1-3 on the road this year.
EMHS has defeated Ponca City (42-6), Edmond North (28-24) and Deer Creek (48-31) this season. The Bull Dogs have lost to Stillwater (24-7), Edmond Santa Fe (44-25), Westmoore (59-42) and Jenks (59-21).
Edmond Memorial has played seven games this season because they opened the 2016 regular season in the Week Zero vs. Ponca City.
