Carol Dianne Locke, 70, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at home surrounded by her family following a long illness.
Carol was born Sept. 20, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas to Howard and Doris Jean (Weldy) Darby. She met and married the love of her life, Grady Wayne Locke in El Paso, Texas and married on April 14, 1963. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Dallas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on February 3, 1990. Carol was a very kind and gentle soul with a loving, generous nature and a great sense of humor. A devoted mother and homemaker, Carol would always place her family’s needs above her own. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in many callings including Ward Librarian, Relief Society Presidency and Director of the Family History Center (Genealogy).
Carol is survived by her husband Grady Wayne Locke and two daughters: Angela Dianne Hinton and Sandra Carol McArthur and husband William; six grandchildren and one great grandson; and her sister Janice Kay Barnett and husband Dave.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2016, 925 W. Kentuk Drive, Mustang. Interment will follow in the Mustang Cemetery.
