City to hold public meetings for tax, road project

Mustang Road widening meeting

The City of Mustang with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is holding a public meeting to present the proposed design for the widening of S. Mustang Road.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 25 at Town Center, 1201 N. Mustang Road.

The proposed design involves the widening of S. Mustang Road from the Stillwater Central Railroad to the concrete section at SH-152 including the construction of sidewalk on the west side.
The meeting will be a come and go setting. Letters will be mailed to residents in the affected area.

 

2 sales tax public meetings remain

The City of Mustang has two more public meetings scheduled to discuss the upcoming Aug. 23 election to extend the existing 1 percent sales tax.

The final two meetings are set for 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15 and 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Meetings will be held in the community room at the library in Town Center.

City officials will have a Power Point presentation for viewing and provide information on the tax extension and projects previously funded by the tax. Staff will answer questions at the end of the meeting.
