Mary Elizabeth Lanning, age 103, passed away June 18 at her home in Oklahoma City after a short period of declining health. She was born Dec. 15, 1912 in Tyler, Texas to Guy and Vera Seay. She grew up in and around Tuttle and had lived most of her adult life in Oklahoma City with some retirement years at her home at Swan Lake near Ft. Cobb. She had worked many years at Macklanburg-Duncan Manufacturing Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four husbands Harvey Matthews, John Parrish, Bill Riffe and Jimmy Lanning, one brother Roy and one sister Pauline.
Survivors include two sons, James Matthews and wife Nora of Rockwall, Texas, and Larry Parrish of the home in Oklahoma City, three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services were June 21 in the Oney Cemetery, Oney.
