Janet Maree (Anklam) Parker, age 61, died June 20. She was born Oct. 11, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Cecil and Gertrude (Pringle) Anklam. She grew up in Richville, Michigan and graduated from Reese High school.
She met the love of her life Steve Parker in 1972 in Cadillac, Michigan, they married June 16, 1973 and just celebrated 43 years. They were in the oil and gas business and moved all over the country before settling down in the Yukon area in 1984. She was a member of Crossings Community Church and currently worked for Focus Home Medical in Mustang. She also worked at Hobby Lobby Distribution for 15 years.
Janet enjoyed photography, making floral arrangements, cooking holiday dinners for family, Jimmy Buffett, OSU Football, traveling and sunsets.
Her passion in life was for her husband Steve, her boys, their wives, and her grandkids. She was loved by everyone and will be tremendously missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Gertrude Anklam; her parents in law, Sonny and Mary Parker; brothers Art, Leonard, Michael, Clayton, and brother-in-law Patrick Shirey.
Janet is survived by her husband Steve; sons: Scott and wife Faith, Chad and wife Brandi; grandkids: Sydney, Krista, Austin, Saylor and Bryson; brothers Douglas Anklam and wife Linda, Cecil Jr. and wife Paula, and Roger; sister-in-law Ann Anklam and sister-in-law Debbie Shirey and her family; good family friend Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Orton.
Viewing will be 1 to 8 p.m. June 24. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25 at McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang with interment to follow at the Mustang Cemetery.
