Oscar was born, June 10, 1928, to Olaf and Selma Faldalen. He passed March 9, 2022.

He began life in North Dakota, on a family farm. Oscar was drafted to the Army in 1951. He left the service after being injured during the Korean conflict. At this time he began his long career in the oilfield.

While working around the town of Mangum he met his wife, Betty Lou Wright. They were married in a leap year on February 29, 1956. Oscar and Betty moved to Duncan, Woodward, and then settled in Yukon for the last 42 years.

He was a member of the Elks and the VFW. His hobbies were fishing, boating going to the lake, traveling, going to the casino and visiting with his friends at the Yukon Senior Center.

Oscar was preceded in death by his mother, father, four brothers, and three pugs. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Faldalen;
